Why Mineral Makeup?

In the biggest beauty trend ever, mineral makeup, once found through a specific company, is now fully mainstreamed and may even be purchased at your local drugstore.

Because little is used per application, mineral makeup lasts longer than traditional liquid makeup. Visibly reduced lines and wrinkles, the refined the look of pores, and the blending of uneven skin tones, is the draw to this revolutionary skin care product. In addition, this product is ideal for all skin types and look at this, it’s made in the USA.

Applied through a buff motion, the warmth of your skin will slightly liquefy the loose powder, which in turn, leaves your skin with a youthful glow and a naturally covered finish.

In general, mineral makeup refers to foundation but also includes products such as, face color, eye shadows, blushes and eyeliner. Its beneficial properties come from the fact that the “true” mineral makeup is derived from crushed minerals and includes four, possibly five ingredients; Titanium Dioxide, Bismuth Oxychloride, Mica, and Iron Oxides. Titanium Dioxide is used in cosmetics for its whitening properties. Mica reflects light from the face and is a translucent skin-hugging mineral. Bismuth Oxychloride provides a skin glow due to the fact that it is a pearlescent mineral while Iron Oxide provides color to the foundation of mineral makeup. In some mineral makeup products, Zinc Oxide, known for its healing properties with problem skin such as rosacea and acne, may replace Bismuth as a natural ingredient.

Even with the special care mineral makeup companies take to make an all natural product, it is found some consumers itch while wearing this makeup; Bismuth is the culprit of the itch. Also, consumers with oily skin did not enjoy the ‘glow’ Bismuth left behind. To remedy these complaints, and smooth the ruffled feathers of this customer group, several lines of Bismuth-free mineral makeup is now easy to find and readily affordable.

The cost of the mineral makeup purchase price varies widely; from $60.00 for a full size container to $2.25 for a generous sized sample amount. Consumers would be wise to compare company products and prices before a purchase.

Mineral makeup is one of the most revolutionary skin care products in the beauty market today. Although it has been available since the mid-70’s, it is within the last ten years ladies of all incomes, skin types and color could afford and enjoy the enhanced benefits mineral makeup coverage offers.

There are many great mineral companies out there that do not use bismuth ox chloride, I have chosen the one I use after much research looking for purity, absence of chemicals and preservatives, adhesion (how long it stays on) and overall finish (how it looks on), BeautyCosmedics

From last few years mineral makeup has become very popular with people. The estimated growth of mineral makeup is about 65% in 2005 alone. So, this is the reason this incredible and unprecedented popularity with today’s women. There are so many different brands of mineral makeup in the market, to choose the right one is very difficult.

Mineral makeup is manufactured with minerals which are sterilized into a very fine powder and then mixed with a variety of natural inorganic colorings to produce a variety of colors. Applying a mineral makeup instead of a chemical-based makeup provides a number of benefits.

Benefits

Minerals give your skin a youthful glow and help to look natural; it also provides the look that is not a heavy made up look. Mineral cosmetics are naturally preserved and completely free of irritants. Mineral makeup is a pure product and contains no oil, talc, perfume, dyes, alcohol or other comedogenic ingredients. The mineral makeup is weightless and incredibly long-wearing.

The mineral cosmetics includes lip glosses, lipsticks, blush, eye liners, bronzers, mineral makeup foundation, as well as naturally formulated facial skin care and natural hair care products.

Mineral cosmetics are harmless for sensitive skin. Almost every traditional liquid foundation contains a plethora of complex and un-natural ingredients that can produce a state of imbalance or irritation in many skin types. Mineral cosmetics are the simplest, most natural and no-reactive form of cosmetics in existence. Rejoice in being able to read and understand exactly what you’re using on your face.

In includes the range of makeup that suits to the complexion of different girls as well as ladies. So, any light or dark complexion girl can use it. The naturally gentle composition of mineral makeup means that these cosmetics are sometimes able to be tolerated by those who have skin allergies, eczema or easily irritable skin.
